Swimming pools aren't manufactured with the express purpose of drowning another person. It is true that a handgun will not *on its own* kill someone, but it will do so when used the way it is intended to be used.

Back off topic: Zark you could deflect bullets back to the intruder if your axe is made out of +5 bullet deflection hardened steel Wink

LMAO.

Yeah i agree with Pleisa and Zarky and Smitty. Obviously everyone should be trained how to use a gun (just like how most parents don't allow their children in swimming pools unless they've taught them how to swim) But even with every ounce of prevention there are always going to be accidents. There's no way we can prevent it all.
But still, prevention is the key to lower the rate of accidental death.

And no matter what the law says about owning a gun, criminals will still get and use them. My cousin told me that once they passed the CHGL here in Dallas that car jackings dropped by 40%, or was that 60%. When responsible citizens are allowed to arm them selfs, criminals are less willing to take the risk on there victim being armed with a gun.

yeah i agree -banning doesn't solve anything because typically the people who shoot others are people who aren't following the law anyway.
