Well, if you was on S1.us I would be more then happy to call back all my troops to send 1200 Roman defensive troops to you, but sadly you are not and I can't do anything to help out. I'm of no use to anyone and should just go die in the corner of my room. It would be better that way.

for gods sake zarky!!!!!! do not go into the corner of your room to die..... i suggest eating worms is a suitable alternative that involves less dying

Can we plz post more then just LOL, ROFL or any other think of that nature. Sorry but it is just one of my pet peeves. When I see there is new posts and go to read and half of them is just someone posting ROFL and what not. If your going to post, plz add something more to it.

I asked smitty if I could delete all posts under 8 words (you know, what it takes for a good sentence), but he said no.

Drives me nuts, too.

I agree, I don't do it myself but I think it helps the overall atmosphere and I don't like to have a big foot that I put down everywhere. Unless it gets spammy or very negative I say let everyone do what they want.

indeed.
tho i suppose, if you really want Zarkie, instead of writing LOL, or LMAO to show appreciateion for something/someone that i find humorous i could instead write something like:
"I find that funny. If you were here in person with me, (fill in name of previous poster here), you would find me chuckling."

Here Here!! I've been on plenty of forums where people were bitchy and took things too seriously.
I'm sorry if acknowledging i read your post and found it amusing annoys you. Better to respond than to get no response at all. That would lead to an awfully quiet forum...

It's not censorship, it's a standard. I don't need to know every post that someone finds funny any more than everyone else needs to post an "eh" for everything that's not-quite-laughable to them.

Kind of goes along with the general rules of internet forums. (see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Xs8HWN6UyE for a good laugh, silly brits)

I don't mind it so much in the "chatter" forums, but in the business side of things I'd prefer not to see that sort of inflation. I think if someone's asking for help or discussing the game at hand, a derailment and laughs are unacceptable. So far, things have been okay in that regard.

Well i disagree. I do feel that the 'business side of things' applies to A GAME which should be FUN! Which is the 1st rule of this alliance.
Please let's not get too serious here for our game Neutral

I'm kind of down the middle on the matter. I kind of agree if it is an important subject, it can be annoying to have the train of thought interrupted my numerous short messages like "lol", etc. On the other hand this is just a game and we shouldn't take things that seriously. As a whole, I don't think we've ever had an overabundance of these short messages in these forums that it's been hindering to the topic at hand. We've been pretty good about keeping topics on track. I think as long as we do that, a few laughs here and there shouldn't be a big deal. Cool

I don't mind seeing LOL and ROFLMAO in messages. Just dislike checking a new post every few mins and just seeing nothing but someone post that they found it funny. I myself find most posts funny, but don't wast space on the forums just for a LOL. I would like to see more added to the convo besides letting everyone know you found it funny. I just feel somepeople just do nothing but post LOL and stuff just so they can get more posts added so they can become a Supreme Pizza. Joker
